  • what happened and when, in UTC;
  • the endpoint and HTTP status;
  • error.code and x-request-id;
  • the index ID, when relevant;
  • whether a retry worked.
Do not send API keys, source text, queries, customer metadata, or full request and response captures. Use synthetic content for a reproduction when possible. If a key may be exposed, lead with suspected key exposure and request immediate revocation. Do not paste the key.
